Actually our trucks have very strong brakes I towed my airstream home with no trailer brakes. Thats a 6700lbs travel trailer and it still stopped excellent. The limiting factor on our trucks is the cooling system.
The easiest way is too moniter your egts, generally I try to let the truck cool down if there above 350 F. But our turbo is cooled by engine coolant so it does not heat soak nearly as much as previous engines. There is many options for moniters edge cts2 and banks power Idash are common ones.

Your crankcase ventilation system goes from your driver side front cover to your intake tubing pre turbo. You well need to remove your engine cover and there is a long black rubber hose. It can come loose right at the front cover its just held on with a plastic clip that you squeeze to remove.
