My guess GDE was busy making the Tune compliant, It may Just Ramp Idle, You would have to ask GDE, No way on the EGR Shutdown.
Check this page out https://greendieselengineering.com/fca-eco-diesel-3-0l-v6-performance-fuel-economy/
Glad to see GDE step up on this, Keith If you would have taken...
Sounds like tone ring failure, why are you/they replacing Injectors Pump, If Dealer is that incompetent you will have future issue's.
Even an expert like Myself has label this engine as a failure and will never own another 3.0VM.
Did the dealer check lift pump pressure, the CP4 takes maybe 10...
Please keep us in the loop, 170K miles is no good, Well maintained HPCR DSL'S go well over 500K miles, with only Injectors and Pump being freshen up. Maybe water pump at every 300K Miles..
It does not surprise Me, the VM 3.0 is laden with issue's. You would have been better off with it catching on fire and burning up like MANY+ other Eco's. I know Two owner that burned up two Eco's. many are on third engine If its as rare as the fake site claims these owners should buy lottery...
The Vehicle is NOT COC compliant, its a violation of CAA law. It would be unlikely that any Judge would support exempting any vehicle from NOT complying. The settlement requires FCA to monitor compliance. Another one pukes does not surprise Me.
I have been screaming for 5 YEARS to remove that foam.....and CP4 cover.
I hear YA on BOSCH investigation, its NOT a BOSCH problem its VM/Fiat design or lack of design and completely being complacent about ALL VM shorting comings. The fires will continue and just changing the EGR will only...
Those Injector origin is unknown, Pump is being dump on the market, I'm sure its 2-4 years old.
OEM don't mean nothing when it come to injectors, IMO those Injectors are house mans, you will have nothing but problems with them.
Bosch Part # 0445110522
Its not the filter its the CP4, Good Injectors are 300.00 each, the Pumps 650.00, Fass or dog are no good, the CP4 W/O GP requires 55PSI+ feed. and those worthless utility pumps cannot stop contamination. The stand-alone with commercial filter head Auxiliary is the only guarantee of stopping...
Everything is done from Tank to Injectors, The tank will need to be dropped and cleaned, the in tank pump, Injectors, CP4 replaced , ALL the lines rail, filter canister , professionally cleaned or replace.
The melted plenum's will continue, the only solution is missing parts that are the primary reason for failure. Even at that it will not remove the QC problems that develop over time and miles.
The QC issue's are now leaking out of Europe on past #s with the Eco 3.0VM
If You have Witech 2.0 https://submgr.am.fcawitech.com/login.htm
with Tech Account https://www.techauthority.com/ you have the same ability as Dealer.
My point being the Tech may have inadvertently flash the PCM.
Its very common and generally unrelated to the sensor. That code is generally related to leaky PRVs or high return rate of the injectors Dirty FCA or voltage issues to electronic PRV,FCA.
