Holy shit, good call getting the wife and kids out immediately, that is a very scary situation.
Oddly enough vehicle fires on fairly new vehicles are not that rare across all model ranges so I wouldn't point my finger at anything specific with the engine persay but a generic part failure or...
I do my oil changes with 2.5gal diesel jugs and I put my truck in OR1 or on the edge of the driveway a little bit so I'm at the perfect (~1") height to the container have a clean drain into it, and 2.5gal jug goes back in, and keep the empty one in the garage for next time.
Perfect oil...
Others coming from the same person... idk. You can message him directly if you want him to shine some light on everything he sees necessary with the engine. Not a very positive or confident person right there
Buy yourself an EZ drain valve, you'll appreciate how simple crawling under the truck without any tools it becomes. And mid drain stops are no mess either!
My guess would be the spare doesn't have a tpms, I've never had a single issue rotating tires or ever needed sensors reset, and we're talking about going on 8-9 rotations in it's life? But only ever a 4 Tire rotate. Different patterns have not mattered
The 1500 air can handle about 1000# of direct tongue weight without complaining, depending how close or far from the hitch that may very. I Used to run up to 3,000# in the bed.

I Used Mobil 1 that states it has additive already but I still picked up the mopar friction modifier. I have a write up for the full rear differential service here

I'm in Minnesota also so I get the Biodiesel business but I don't mind. Just went through the oil stuff in the service manual and got some interesting information. And the fuel filter interval has dropped from the original 30k to every other oil change 20k maximum.
I had been running 5-30...
Pulled a 4ft x 5ft maple stump from the front yard last night. Camera phone is broke so I apologize for the poor quality tablet photo. Tree was v'd at the base 20x29 and 24x29 that I took down last year
