Good luck on that group effort, Many Eco owners are blind to the facts, 1000s of owners believe that 100K miles mean its a good engine LOL. Heck Modern day diesels should go minimum 200K miles with just routine maintenance.
I forecasted the 3.0 would have EPA problems back in Later 2015, I mentioned the Lube spec Lube MS11106 was not adequate Mid 2015, I claimed the Plenum /EGR was poorly designed and will cause problems in Long term ownership in DD use. Very few 3.0s survive pass 150K miles in DD use without...
Geneayers, its NOT FCA , its Fiat relationship with VM Motori.... One of these fire is gonna kill some body..please just let it burn and have complete recoverable insurance.

Yep.. if felicia drove it in with NO CEL, than its ALL Dealer / FCA Problem. Heck ......have them buy the Truck, Now I see what you mean By Settlement Lawyers.....FCA is required by the settlement to Make it AEM compliant...DON'T PAY THEM NOTHING..... YOU brought it in with NO CEL whatever they...
Many engine compartment fires are related to Rodents, Many out door rodents can build nests in a matter of hours, the ED sound foam can be crewed and relocated in minutes couple that with sticks and dry grass and its a lethal combination. This is why I remove that foam and covers form every...
If this speculation is correct, Than every ED has the potential to catch on fire, because they all have the same wiring.
Back in 1996 We purchase new Ford F-250 ,it had a cabin Fire and melted the entire Dash, it was towed to Minor Ford in New Brighton MN, Ford replace the F-250 no questions...
I think its important to share the dates, the ED was not in production Sept 16 until Aug 18, the insider Document Was May/June of 2017, So the ED was out of production for 9 months and still 19 engines warrantee , when the Cummins was in production at 6000+ per month with only 2 warrantee...
John The OP needs to take action if he wants his ED to survive, Its seem to do well in HWY service, it DD it seems to suffer. The EGR kills this motor, eliminate the EGR and Many of the engine problems are resolved.
No....its called Fairness and Just.... I was NOT going to have the dealership jump threw all the fire hoops that buybacks create.
And the wait paid off, The take back deal work out better for Both Me and the Dealership.
LMBO, FCA back in 2016 agreed to Buy back MY ED.I waited Just like every other Owner and fought harder and put More Pressure on FCA to treat ED owners with Justice and fairness.
I will come back to this thread and see if I'm correct in a couple of Years.
I'm not bitter at all, I'm disappointed That FCA, put faith in VM.
I 've death with 100s of ED owners, Have been 100% correct on the history of the 3.0...
