Specs were changed in 2016 to 4w40 meeting the MOPAR specs, that's key info , if you're doing your own service work. I keep a running spreadsheet of oil used, the filters etc. Make sure you keep receipts. also. You can also track them on the Mopar site.
I hope they put the correct oil in it! You can use a long screwdriver or anything that will work as a stethoscope to tell if it is metallic or just diesel knock, a piece of hose works well too.

Do you have a receiver type hitch? If so it's probably rated 500 lbs tongue wt, you can use load leveler hitches and take some of the load off, can also use a sway control to help control the trailer.

The exhaust houses the DPF filter, SCR chamber, oxygen sensors, DEF injector, etc, they're all emissions controls, I think the the fine for a first time offense is 50k.
Yeah, it is complex and also some special tools for the cam timing, probably others as well, a little ingenuity will probably come up with homemade alternates. Best of luck on the engine, keep us posted if you have the time & feel the need. There seems to be numerous theories about the bearing...

Mine is programmed and ready, not convinced to sell it yet tho, it'll still proved the info I demand if the EDGE should die. The SCANGAGE programming isn't hard, they just don't allow much time to enter each parameter, I think it's 5 lines of binary to enter, I downloaded the info from the site...
