Do you have a receiver type hitch? If so it's probably rated 500 lbs tongue wt, you can use load leveler hitches and take some of the load off, can also use a sway control to help control the trailer.

Mine is programmed and ready, not convinced to sell it yet tho, it'll still proved the info I demand if the EDGE should die. The SCANGAGE programming isn't hard, they just don't allow much time to enter each parameter, I think it's 5 lines of binary to enter, I downloaded the info from the site...

John is correct on life span, everything I've found says it depends on temperature, and at temps around 100 it's supposedly about 3 months IIRC. I bought a refractometer on AMAZON for the DEF for about 26 bucks before I tuned the need for DEF out.
