    The Cummins 5.0 in the Nissan is done... the Problem with small displ Dsl is the emissions, the vehicles are big/heavey in America so the Engine is always at Boost, which increases the Cylinder Pressure creating combustion heat (Flame) = HIGH NOx. No it was not tuned, it had the Banks Bullet...

    The 8 spd is robust if you serviced it at 30-50k miles Intervals they will go 500K miles.

    My 2019 1500 limited has every option besides Ram box, the mileage is awesome at 65 MPH it gets 22-23, 70 MPH 19-22, 75 MPH 18-19, 85 MPH 16-18. Mix City/HWY 14-17 all MPG. do the math Dsl at $0.50 Higher. My ED Avg Mix City/HWY 18-19 30 Gallons at 19MPG=570Miles , 30 Gallons Gas at...

    Yep.... Ram Makes awesome vehicles....FCA (Fiat Chrysler America) is not the Problem, its Fiat continue ignorance towards VM Motori lack of QC. Fiat Has some Awesome resources at FPT, Why in the heck are they not taking over at VM, is beyond Crazy.

    You would need to drain it regularly Bimonthly to have any effect...Generally if you fine water ( 6oz or more) in the reservoir, its to late.

    Yep.. thats why these engines are so problematic...its problem free until X happens then it %^&$. Owners that 80%+ hwy seem to do well, DD use and your wallet going to depart with $$$$ at some point.

    Eric T, Just be clear and to the point at the dealership, My guess they will need to replace the Plenum in addition to the recall on the EGR... You do have some options to clean the diffuser tube and the Map sensor, and if need be the EGR valve , that may get you to parts available for EGR Recall.
