Pedal Commander cause high pressure pump to fail?

As several persons have stated, the Pedal Commander is not the culprit here. The cp4.2 installed on the EcoD is known to fail under a couple of situations. Presently Stellantis has issued a recall for said HPFP, solution to revert to the more dependable cp3. The HPFP will be on the path to...

    Well, the saga continues!

Well, first things first, get that heater core replaced and the leak stopped. While it is in the shop have them check the starter relay. Good luck.

    FInally picked a truck

Congratulations. I presently have 169K on the clock. You do not mention if it was a 4x4 or not but when you change the rear diff oil also change the front diff oil. Keep a watch on the air filter. I get an oil analysis at each oil change on all my diesels, good move. We always hand calculate the...

    Programming Accelerator Pedal

AlfaOBDII, relearn parameters for new pedal module. The measures you have taken will be insufficient to achieve what you need to do. Since you have a deleted truck it may pay to have the AlfaOBD scanner at the ready for future use. Good Luck.

FORD 6.7 DUALLY VERSUS STAGE 1 TUNED ECODIESEL

My wife in her 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was challenged by a 2500 Ford 6.7, rolling coal and he saw nothing but her tail lights after 114 mph. Seems his delete tune may not have removed the rpm limiter. My wife's GDE tune did remove the rpm limiter.

How many miles are you getting out of your CV Axles?

I have all original on my 2014, 169K. Can't say the same for one lower ball joint, rear differential bearings. I have replaced single CV shafts many times on my vehicles as well as customer vehicles with no qualms. Good Luck.

    Best programmer?

I agree with BoostN, there is much conversation on this subject, however, if you are looking to stay EPA compliant, and there is a lot of discussion there as well, then the only alternative is Green Diesel Engineering. I run their EPA approved tune on my 2014 Eco with great results. They always...

    CEL P24AE

Well you may be able to clean the sensor, not sure how successful you may be. But clearing the code will require a scanner with DTC delete capabilities. The question regarding the count down message, this code should set a DPF full condition which will initiate a mileage count down until the...

    Cp4.2 recall letter

I read about the upcoming recall in the trade publications while we were in Montana in June and was waiting on the recall notice. I guess, whatever the new name for FCA is, hasn't found where 100K + HPFP's are located. As a personal note I never run my fuel tank below 1/2 full just to protect...

    Service electronic throttle control.????

As I mentioned earlier, plethora of circumstances, Low Turbo Boost is one of the causes, Incorrect Mass Airflow Sensor reading, Incorrect Mass Atmospheric Pressure reading, VVTC loss of communications, Injector Flow Low/Higher than anticipated, all these plus many others can cause the dreaded...

    Fuel Economy

Due to the winter blend, #1 diesel ratio to #2 diesel, which lowers the gel point of the fuel you can expect up to 10% reduction in fuel mileage. For my truck that is 2-3 mpg. I use a good winter diesel additive to help with the blend. You may ask why the blend and why the loss in mpg. Your...

Dpf 100% full, won't go away after forced regen

Agree with TC, my 2500 popped the same code while doing an Active Regen, but Regen would not conclude. Upon arrival at our camp ground I began the search for a dealer who could work us in the schedule in less than a month. I was able to find a dealer 45 minutes away who could work us in the next...

    EcoDiesel oil cooler

I can only relay my experience with the same issue. I did install an external oil cooler, a popular model at the time, now no longer offered. At best it pulled temperature from my coolant. What I mean by that is the oil would run 215 to 225 running empty while the water temp now would run 206...

    P0088 code w/check engine light

I have not experienced this code, but you appear to have a consistent issue that is unresolved. So let us look at cause analysis. =P0088 Fuel Rail Pressure Too High Bank 1 - Faulty Fuel Pump - Blocked Fuel Filter - Faulty Fuel Pressure Sensor - Fuel Pressure Sensor wiring open or...

    P1d30 p20ee p2ba9

Not sure what you are looking for, but here goes an attempt to answer an unasked question. P1D30 - OIl Viscosity too low. This one is fairly simple, change your oil and filter with appropriate viscosity oil and reset oil mileage monitor system. There are multiple threads on oil viscosity (5w-40)...

    Service electronic throttle control.????

That generic message presages a code, but the message is thrown by a plethora of conditions. One of which is Low Turbo Boost which would be the code caused by the crack in the turbo tube. Your delete program may have short circuited the Low Boost code but not the Service Electronic Throttle...

have 2007 w/6.7 diesel-looking to downsize to new 1500 with ecodiesel-looking for advise on the durability of this engine

I have both a 2014 1500 Eco and a 2014 2500 w6.7, both crew cab 4x4. Both have DEF and catalyst. If you drive the 1500 Eco like a diesel you should have few problems and excellent fuel mileage. Comparison: 1500 with 3.96 posi trak rear end, and 169K miles. GDE tune. Averages 25 mpg on summer...

New to the forum! Where can I find a quality reman or complete new motor?

The Jeep GC using the Eco is the same engine as the RAM with the exception of the oil pan and the oil filter housing. Other than that you have covered all the bases, I didn't see LKQ as one of your used engine sources. Good Luck.

    Oil change problem

I use a socket with an appropriate length extension, to get the ratchet away from the engine, this helps to eliminate the rounded cap issue. If you still end up with a damaged cap OEM is available PN 68148345AA. Good luck.

    Eco smoking

I agree with Temper126, it would appear to be a fuel injector issue. Is your RPS code for high or low voltage? If high then I would suspect a fuel pressure regulator issue. If low I would go with a stuck or leaking injector, if you are getting smoke through the OEM exhaust I would jump on a...
