I have about 36,400 miles. Right now the MPG is bad because very cold and windy and I take short trips. 20.0MPG.
I purchased the truck in September 2024 and I was getting 25-26mpg. I'm hoping I get better PG in spring and summer.
That great you have 172,000 miles on a gen 2 EcoDiesel. Unfortunately I heard a lot of bad things about those engines. That's why i purchased a Gen 3 engine. My vehicle is not deleted so I will just play doctor with the sludge/soot over time.

Going clean the EGR, Map Sensor and DEF injector. I will also have the serpentine belt replaced too.

Mine had a orange color plug with 3 prongs. It was located under the passenger side. If you look at your tire and shine a light above the tire it should be right in line with your eyes should be straight ahead. That's how I found mine.

I was getting 24-26 MPG in September now I'm only getting 19-21 MPG because of the cold weather and short trips.
I add diesel additives to my fuel every fill up.
