TC,
Thanks.
I've been using your formula ever since you posted it on this forum. I was using 100%distilleduntilI read your data. I've decided on the 2.5/1 ratio as is very safe. I'm ordering a new 3500 HO Cummins, can I use that formula there also?
Tremper126,
Everything you said is right on. You mentioned DEF. With any of the tunes you can use distilled water instead of DEF. The only problem is when you go to a dealer and need to return to the stock tune, the distilled water will probably throw a code and may cause a problem with the...
Thanks, that's good to know. However, I do know what I'm talking about - you do not tune in the USA, thus for the poster's inquiry, you do not have a flash tool available.
I think you mean the Canadian tuner who supposedly has the GDE tune has a flash tool.
GDE does not have a flash tool, they don't even have a tune at this time. Soon maybe.
I have used both GDE and SFT. SFT tunes via the OBD2 port which I like. Plus their new handheld tuner houses the stock and other tunes. You have full control and can change tunes in 5 minutes. GDE type tunes require removing the ECU and returning to the tuner to make changes. Both tunes...
Look at the Diamondback cover. It mounts on the bed rails like a shell and is approx 4-5 " above the bed.
All aluminum & stainless steel, lightweight, high quality and strong. You can put a couple of quads on top.
I believe CARB stopped GDE in Califunny about mid 2018.
And for Shadows question about questions. They did have updates, questions about problems, throwing codes, about their transmission tune, about selling a GDE tuned ECU, about tune features, and I've seen other posters asking GDE for...
I agree with all you said. Seems that the SFT complaints have been relative to phone calls. I have had better service from SFT than I ever had with GDE but I always email SFT, never via the phone.
Here's the caution:
"Engine oil is an engineered product and its performance may be impaired by supplemental additives."
Most of today's oil additives do not impair, change or modify the oil. For example, here's what Archoil has to say about their nano technology based oil additive (that does...
FYI - The recall John is referring to is described in the two attachments below. FCA does not have a fix for that recall. Last I heard they expect a fix later this month. That doesn't mean you will get it done soon as dealers across the country have many disabled trucks on their lots waiting...
My Service Manager won't let a leaking cooler drive away. He has a backlot with several trucks waiting for parts and the owners are all driving FCA provided rental vehicles.
According to the AEM docs, California will not register the truck without proof of the update. We are assuming this will take place when the AEM process ends/
